Greetings!

Stats updated for April 8th! Another “Larry” has been spotted in the wild!

We are down to the last night of regular play, and some jostling among the divisional breakdown is certainly possible, but a breakout night would be needed for a divisional change!

Good time now to address the awards coming for this year, and some administration to take care of for the next.

The first night of playoffs will be a light night for play – it’s a round-robin amongst your own division of 5 teams, which will be five rounds of 1001 (though each team will have a bye). That’s a regular night, minus the 501 doubles rounds, and in the extra time we have I think it’s worth addressing two things:

Awards:

There are three selected awards:

Steve Pearson Memorial Award – Most Improved Player
– Determined mostly by stats, with input from the executive

Scotty McGowan Award – Player Most Dedicated to His Team
– Selected by the executive

Dan & Mike Villeneuve Award – Most Sportsmanlike Team
– Voted by the league – ballots will be provided to vote

Executive election:

Selection for next years executive. This has caused more friction in the past than I think is necessary, and I think it can be done better. More to come, but that selection will still happen on the 22nd.
